Design and Build Process

At Goldline Construction we have some great Architectural Designers that we work with so we can produce some top quality designs for clients that are looking for something tailored to their style.

Whether you like a boxed look, vertical cedar weatherboards or something totally different, then we have options for you.

If you have lived in a few different homes or previously built before, then you probably realise that there are certain elements in a home that you would like to customise and build into a new small home e.g. plenty of storage or a certain type of fireplace or kitchen layout etc. Running with one of our Auckland Design and Build options will give you the ability to choose exactly what you want in a small home.

We also have specialists experienced in dealing with council and if your site or design requires something outside the standard building requirements then a Resource Consent may be required. Our specialists know the in’s and out’s of getting certain things through council like height-to-boundary breaches or special storm-water discharge requirements.

We are sort out the Geotech reports, Engineers reports and other specialist reports that may be required in the consent process.

With our Auckland Design and Build options we are able to talk you through the whole process and advise of all the different aspects of building your small home, granny flat or developing your site to fit a minor dwelling.

Structural engineering

Almost all architecturally designed homes will require some form of structural engineering whether it be steel portals, LVL beams or just something simple like the odd flitch beam. 

At Goldline Consturction we are building new homes all the time and we know what the cost implications are for different designs. We can advise on the most cost effective solutions right through the process. Which claddings you should use and what the implications are for different structural designs.
